My Church life

Last Friday to Sunday was our church’s special reunion. On Friday night was our reunion that didn’t have too much people. On next day our church teenagers had to go to church practicing our songs for the activity of afternoon and Sunday morning. Later, it was time for lunch. We discussed how we wanted to eat and went to Micdownload, having humbugers and french-fries as our meal. We went back to our church and took a break for only ten minutes because we had another new songs which were needed practicing. Our party began at three o’clock, singing songs, reading Bible and sharing with each other. This time we have a preacher coming from America. He shared some of his and his son’s story. It let me know that there are no difficult things to our God. Finally we ended at seven o’clock. Every time we go to church, we feel that it brings me joy and makes me relax from our busy daily life. In this wonderful time, we seem to be ready for the next week challenges.

The “battle of the sexes” started with Adam and Eve; it will probably continue forever. The opinion that man are superior to women has long been accepted in many cultures; therefore, the feminist movement is trying to change this view. Feminists claim that boys and girls are exactly equal at birth but become unequal because of the way that was believed in education they are treated by society. Nevertheless, recent research contradicts the view that males and females are innately alike

1. It is likely that people choosing vegetarianism must think eating only vegetables is healthy.

2. Same-sex marriage, perhaps, should not be legalized because it will probably make a great
impact on and mislead teenagers being sexually confused.

3. It seems that those who choose tattoos consider tattoos make them become cool.
They sometimes regard tattoos as fashionable marks.

My self-introtuction

I am so glad that I can get into the Department of Applied Foreign Languages. English is my favorite subject. My major was not English when I was a senior high school student, so I thought that I should study harder than other students to improve my English. I hoped I could be an English teacher in academia when I saw my English teacher teaching us in class, and I thought being an English teacher was dignified. In addition, I can take summer vacation in my future if I am a teacher.

When I received the notice that I could study in Chaoyang University, I read a lot of information about our school. For example, there are many books in the Chaoyang library, and there are air-conditioners in our classrooms. There are various food and drinks in student restaurant. There are lots of students in our class and school, so now it is hard for me to recognize my classmates. Our upper schoolmates held many kinds of activities for us, so we are expectative. I am surprised about our learning materials because we can understand the contents that our teacher wants to teach. We can contact teachers on website, and we can do anything easily about learning. In this institute we have a good environment to learn English and second language, helping us to find a good job in our future. An undergraduate is so different from senior high school students. There are more options we can choose. We can decide what we want and what we need. Also, we have to be responsible for our choices.

Moon festival

When I got up last Saturday morning I just thought what I needed to do today and how much homework I needed to finish. So I was so busy until the afternoon my mother asked what we wanted to do today. My sister reminded me that today was Moon Festival. Therefore, our family decided to go to my hometown to have BBQ.

We fist checked what we wanted to eat or anything we should buy. On the way, my sister was so excited and I was a little tired. After we arrived, we started the BBQ right away. We gave our parents what we wanted to eat and ask them to barbecue the food for us. Then, we waited for it. I ate much chicken and a little corn because I hadn’t eaten dinner. Afterward my uncle came back with my aunt and two babies. We watched TV in the living room and chatted something about TV programs .Then we went together and took a walk for a while. Lastly we cleaned up the grill and went back home. What a fulfilling day!

How to improve your English writing skill ?

English is one of the important languages in the world. Learning English well contributes you to getting a better job in the future. Listening and speaking more is a great help to your English ability; in addition, keeping an English diary and talking to foreign friends can bring to you great improvement on syntax and cultures.

To promote your English ability, one of the best ways is to practice more listening and speaking. For example, you can listen to English radio or English songs. Moreover, it will improve your performance in both speaking and listening if seeking for chances to chat with native speakers.

Keeping an English diary can help you gain more chances to study the syntax usage and understand how to apply them in English writing. You not only have deeper understanding on the syntax to greet the foreign friend, but contribute to your knowledge of foreign language culture, too.

If you improve your English skills, you have better ability of English and knowledge than other people and have more chances than others to get a better job.
